About
Jessy Yang is an architect and urban designer. He is currently a student at the Harvard University Graduate School of Design studying toward his Master of Architecture in Urban Design degree expected May 2017. At the GSD, he is co-editing a research and design studio publication entitled Extreme Urbanism IV: Looking at Hyperdensity in Dongri, Mumbai with professor Rahul Mehrotra and research assistant Apoorva Shenvi. His current interest lies in the social, historic, and symbolic roles of public works.
Prior to enrolling at the GSD, Jessy worked at Stan Allen Architects, Machado Silvetti Associates, and CAZA Architects. At CAZA, he was the project manager on several large scale housing, commercial, and district masterplan projects that are presently built or under-construction. Jessy has also taught summer urban planning and design courses at the GSD and architecture courses at the University of Houston. He received his Bachelor of Architecture from The Rice University School of Architecture in his hometown Houston, TX.
